May I enquire as to which decoder you are refering to. I haven't designed the circuit and software for a decoder myself, but have made my own circuit boards for them.
If you are refering to TMWDCC, the DCC controller that I built for my last layout, Lars, the designer of it, has a very helpful website here: http://tmw.dreamhosters.com/tmwdcc.html

Interesting stuff, but unfortunately the layout hides it.. The background photo is too contrasty, much of your text gets lost against the background.
